along the way

First, I present to you the first fruits of our labor in our garden. There were five, but only one made it to the car and camera. We have quite a bounty of veggies to look forward to, so I'll save that for a later post.


We hit the road this afternoon kind of late and saw entire fields of blue and red, purple and gold. The bluebonnet is our state flower, so I tend to focus on it but it was a spectacular array today of His handiwork. We also saw a family of deer in a clearing, so God was showing off a bit for us today as we went to the ranch. It never grows old. I still am excited to see such magnificence and warmth in the renewal.

And finally, we have a family of three little kittens and a mama living in the ranch house. It has presented somewhat of a problem, but they are so cute.
